PHONE + DATA FEES

Each bedroom of the Village has a high speed data point and a phone outlet. Connected to the phone outlet will be a telephone provided by the Village with a voicemail facility.

The data connection will allow you access to the Village and University Intranet, once you have set up an account with the University which includes internet access. Details on how to set up an account are included in the Village Handbook and at the University ITS Helpdesk. The Village will not charge for any ongoing usage of the Data Network or for any downloading of data.

The phone connection allows for communication within the Village and also allows for free communication within the University itself. The only additional charge that you will incur will be for external calls, which are charged on a usage basis.

Each phone line in the Village has its own dedicated number allowing you to receive calls directly to your phone 24 hours a day. Students are provided with a PIN number for individual access and account purposes.

The voicemail facility allows you to have your own mailbox for receiving messages. Similarly you will be able to leave messages for other residents of the Village.
